Bathing a newborn baby can be a frightening experience for a parent who has their first child. Many companies make bath tubs that are designed for newborn babies. This first type of baby bath seat will hang over the tub with a clamp. It can be clamped to any bath tub in the home to keep the baby secure. You will put the baby in this seat, strap them in and then they will be safe to be as curious as they can while you clean them. This is a very secure option.
There is also a baby seat that will go into the base of the tub. It is secured with large suction cups that will keep the baby secure while it plays or is washed. Your baby can easily get used to being in water while you stay with them and play.
You can get the perfect size of tub for your baby's age. For those with newborn babies who do not want to use the small tub, there are inserts for the big people's tub that are perfect. Your newborn will be comfortable and safe while you bathe them carefully. There is a lean to the seat that will allow for less traumatic hair washing.
You can choose from the many designs of baby bath seats that are available as long as your baby is kept secure. You must still stay with your infant while it is in the tub. You will never want to leave your infant for even one second when they are in the water. There are too many ways that a baby can be harmed in the water when they are not properly supervised.
Many parents resort to both of them taking the baby to the tub and washing it together so that the baby is safe. This is not always an option for many one parent families or families where one parent goes out of town for work. There needs to be another option. This option is available and is called a baby bath seat.
