I am having my first baby, and my husband and I are confused as to how many items we should register for. We don't want to seem too greedy, but we also want to give our babyshower guests some options. We also would like a larger number so the gifts will be some sort of "surprise" to us! What's the average number of items on the registry? Is it ok to register for "embarrassing items" such as nipple cream, and other breast feeding supplies?

My husband and I are happily expecting a little girl. We don't have a lot of money... What supplies should we have when she first comes home? Also, what sizes of clothes should we get? We have noticed that some 0-3 months are tiny, and only go up to 8 pounds. If the average baby is 7.5 pounds we don't want to over buy on newborn sizes especially if she won't be in them long.

We are in Australia and have hundreds of phasmid eggs that are just starting to hatch. The adults ate gum leaves, but I know the babies need the tips of new gum leaves. These aren't easy to access and the baby phasmids are dying. Is there anything else we can feed them, because I'm having trouble getting to the younger leaves of our gum tree supply! Advice from anyone in Australia in particular with baby phasmids greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for information on what to feed BABY phasmids.

My MIL is throwing me a baby shower, well she's acting like she is. Her way of throwing the baby shower is by buying decorations and saying "oh we can decorate with this" but not actually planning anything. So i've taken on the role of coming up with all of the ideas and she's taking my ideas for her own and buying the supplies. Well i am going to have girls from the age of 18 all the way to older women in their 70's. I came up with the idea of buying a bunch of onesies(99 cents) and having a bunch of iron on designs and fabric paint so everyone can design a personalized onesie. Also my mom and MIL will decorate a bib that is dedicated to eachother and i will be making an overnight/diaper bag that both grandma's will use. Do you think this is an ok idea? I don't like the idea of corny games and i'm just wondering if everyone will find this entertaining... in your opinion.
There will be more to the shower but this is the "main event".
I bought iron on printing paper and am finding all different kinds of designs (stuff for the younger, older, and in betweens) i'm just looking at sticker sheets and printing them out via microsoft word onto the iron on paper so there will be plenty of variety.

Oh and i already found the 99 cent onesies. 100% cotten too. 
We have a factory outlet store that has a lot of great stuff for really cheap.

Do you know approx. how much it would cost for MATERIALS / SUPPLIES / LABOR to make a bedroom in an unfinished attic? Please list the LABOR part separately as we have a family friend who would probably discount the labor. It's mostly the SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS that we'd have to pay for.
Maybe you had this done, or you know someone who did. Please share, as I want to plan how much money we'll need to save.
We found out that we're expecting baby #2 and we're going to need an extra room.

Some more info: There already is a full staircase to the attic and there are 2 windows up there. We want to make the bedroom in the center of the attic where the peak is the highest. There will be no plumbing needed. My dad is an electrician so electric is not a problem. We have forced hot air as the heat source in our house, so I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to send heat up there.

My baby is not eating as long and he is still gaining weight but i pumped last night and only got 1 oz i pumped this morning and only got 1.5oz he will not take a bottle and I'm freaking out, what do I do?

I think my breastmilk supply is decreasing because my 2 week old baby still cries after I feed him (both sides). Still produces a wet and poopy diaper. He has even started pulling harder on my nipples during the feeds, anything I can do I satisfy his hunger?

My baby is exclusively breast fed( I have an excessive supply ) and doesnt take a pacifier.He sleeps for 6 -7hours during night.But during the day getting him to take a nap is a battlefield.He wants to play with his toys or chew on them or babble and stare at his surroundings.I swaddle him (which he hates and then remove it ) ,dim the lights and even swing him in his swing.But to no avail.If i do suceed ,he would take a nap that lasts no longer than 30 minutes.He is a restless short napper .How do i get him to take longer naps.

Hi, I've been weaning my 11 month old for months. I am now trying to get him to drink formula or water from a bottle but he won't. My supply of breastmilk has decreased and I am worried that baby is not getting enough fluids daily. He's also waisting expensive formula.
